Norma Jean Wheeler

78, peacefully passed away September 3, 2016 at her home in Westminster, Colorado surrounded by her loving family. Norma was born in Corning, Iowa. Norma was the matriarch of the family, and took great pride in guiding and loving each of her children, grandchildren, and great grand children. She had a strong presence in the community of Westminster and for many years she was the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. Following her dedicated work with the Chamber of Commerce she had a very successful career in real estate. In addition to the love she shared with her family, she adored her dog Noel, who was always by her side. Norma loved football and was a huge fan of the Denver Broncos. She was always their number one fan.

Norma is survived by daughter Tama (Matt) Koenig; son Todd (Suzin) Wheeler: grandchildren Anthony (Amanda) Peper, Donny Peper, Derek (Alix) Peper, Jackie (Adnan) Wheeler, Jonathan (Caitlin) Wheeler, Alyssa (Victor) Lopez, Grace Zambreny, & Nicolas Wheeler; great grandchildren Enzo & Mia.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Wheeler, one brother Robert Ruben, and her father & mother Lonnie and Edna Ruben.

Norma will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her. Her tenacious spirit and infectious laugh will never be forgotten.

A visitation is to be held at the Olinger Highland Mortuary Chapel on Monday evening, September 12, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 p.m. the same evening also, at Olinger Highland Mortuary Chapel located at 10201 Grant Street in Thornton, Colorado 80229. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church located at 3141 West 96th Ave, Westminster, Colorado 80031. A committal service will take place directly after the Mass at Olinger Highland Cemetery in Thornton, Colorado.
