Mona Angeline Jones of Brighton, CO, was a caring, understanding, patient wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She left us suddenly in the early morning hours of September 2nd, 2023, at the age of 60, passing peacefully in her sleep.
She was born to Norma Morgan and Roland Jordan , April 10, 1963. In her early life Mona enjoyed dancing, riding horses, being outdoors and chasing the sun, and in her late 20’s, she met a man that wanted to give her everything beneath it. She married John “Mark” Jones on April 29, 1993 , and he and his three children (Rachal, Stephanie(Twins), and Evan), along with her three children (Melissa, Joshua, and Jessica(Twins) would give her a life full of frustration and bliss.
Mona loved being outside whether it was going for bike rides with her children, backpacking with her husband, or even taking her dogs for daily walks. Mona loved being surrounded by her loved ones Be it her husband, her mother, her children and grandchildren, her siblings or great friends. She loved music, great food and she loved to travel where she could enjoy it. She was blessed to spend the latter part of her life traveling the country with her adoring husband. As well as playing with her grandchildren and grand-nephews.
Mona’s life is a light that will be carried on in her loving husband Mark, her admiring mother Norma Morgan, her three beautiful children Melissa Clark, Joshua Jordan-Calvo, and Jessica Coats, her three bonus children Rachal Jones, Stephanie Salazar, and Evan Jones. Her three sons-in-law, Adam Clark, Justin Johnson and Adam Salazar, her eight grandchildren, Aaron, Jason, Jordan, Timmothy, Derek, Stellan, Robert and Scarlett, her sister Pamela ,her sister Gina, brother Larry, her many nieces, nephews and grand-nephews. She was predeceased in death by her father Roland Jordan , her brother Martin Morgan , and her brother Kerry Morgan.
Services will be held Saturday, September 9th at 1pm at Henderson Community church with reception to follow. Henderson Community Church is located at 12001 Oakland Street, in Henderson, Colorado 80640
