Michael was born on August 16, 1965, in Boise, Idaho. He was the youngest of three sons born to Clare and Monette Baldwin. His brothers, Daniel E. Baldwin and Jerrold A. Baldwin both reside in Idaho. The Family lived in Boise, Mountain Home, Salmon and Burley, Idaho, during Michael’s childhood. Michael attended school in Burley and graduated from Burley High School in 1983. He was a member of the Burley Bobcats Golf Club and Burley Bobcats Football Team.
Mike married Anjeanette Day in 1986. Two sons, Cooper Jay Baldwin and Carter Keith Baldwin were born to that union. Mike and his young family moved to the Denver area in 1995. Mike and Anjie were later divorced.
Michael and Andrea Harris met at Joe Palookas in 2001. They married October 14, 2006, and honeymooned in Maui. They both loved Hawaii and Michael said that if he had a job there he would just stay. Michael spent his career years in the interstate trucking business—most recently U S Road.
Michael enjoyed snowmobiling on West Mountain in Idaho. He hiked into and fished many mountain lakes in Idaho with his Dad and two brothers. Perch fishing was excellent at his parents’ cabin in Donnelly, Idaho.
One of his favorite pastimes was to sit around a campfire. He really appreciated the beauty of Colorado sunsets.
Michael taught Andrea to play golf, and she became a very good golfer. They enjoyed many golf games together, and were members of Heritage at Todd Creek.
Michael was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and had been so for many years. Michael had always wanted an English Bulldog as a pet. This past August, for Michael’s birthday, Andrea surprised Michael with an English Bulldog puppy, which Michael named Steeler.
Michael is survived by his wife Andrea, sons Cooper and Carter, Andrea’s children, Cody and Marissa, his parents Clare and Monette, his brothers Dan and Jerry (Jerry’s wife Heidi), several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, his grandmother Beulah Conrad, and many, many good friends from high school, friends from trucking and Joe Palookas.
Michael fought a miraculous, long and difficult battle with two terminal liver diseases—Primary sclerosing cholangitis and cholangiocarcinoma. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michael J. Baldwin Fund at TFC Bank locations in the Denver Area.
Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, Thornton, CO.
