Marvin Joseph Getz

Marvin Getz passed away on November 9, 2015 in Santa Monica, California. He is survived by: his daughter Debora (Steve) Getz; brother Walter (Imogene) Getz; grandson Frank Hanningan and multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews. Marvin is preceded in death by: 1st wife Anna Mae Juliardo; 2nd wife Elinor Whitmarsh; brother Donald Getz; sister Ella Mae Tackett; father Joseph Getz and mother Mary (Rohr) Getz.

Marvin served in the United States Navy; a Korean War Veteran and as a member of the Knights of Columbus. Marvin was a lineman for 30 plus years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Fund (website) curealz.org.

There will be a visitation located at Olinger Highland Mortuary located at 10201 Grant Drive in Thornton, Colorado 80233 at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church located at 11385 Grant Drive in Northhglenn, CO 80233 at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2015. The committal, with Navy honors is to follow the Mass at Olinger Highland Cemetery located at 10201 Grant Street in Thornton, Colorado 80233.
