Marion I. DeForest, age 85, of Thornton, Colorado, passed away on Wednesday April 18, 2018. Marion was born February 11, 1933 in Denver, Colorado.

Marion met her husband Vincent before he went overseas in 1950 for his military service. They corresponded for two years through letters until his return in 1952. They married in the Eisenhower Chapel at Lowry Air Force Base, otherwise known as Chapel One, on October 17, 1953. They were blessed with an understanding and loving marriage and a wonderful son, Vince Jr. Vince Sr. and Marion loved sharing yard work and Marion spent many hours in her yard tending to the flowers that she loved while her husband was busy working at the Thornton Police Department. Marion is survived by her husband Vincent Sr. and her son Vince Jr.

A visitation for Marion will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 at 9:00 AM with the service following at 10:00 AM in the chapel at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado 80229. The committal service will be at 11:00 AM in the cemetery. A reception will follow in the Long's Peak Reception Room.
