Manuel Rodriguez Varela

Manuel Rodriguez Varela (Manny) age 63, of Denver, Colorado passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020. Manuel was born September 20, 1957 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, to father Manuel Varela and mother Amalia Rodriguez. Over the course of his life, he lived in many locations-Mexico, Texas and finally Denver, Colorado. Manuel married his beloved wife, Juanita, in Golden, Colorado.

Manuel was a Railroad Specialist, working for the 360 Rail and loved his job. He was known to be stern, while at work, as he took his job very seriously. Outside of work he was known as easy going and willing to help anyone. He also enjoyed activities such as crossword puzzle and sudoku.

Manuel is survived by his wife, Juanita Varela of Denver, CO; his brothers and sisters- Jose Varela, Maribel Varela, Jesus Varela, Luz Leija of Dallax, TX; Margarita Grimaldo, Marth Garcia of Grand Prairie, TX; Norma Dominguez of San Angelo, TX; Miguel Angel Varela of Decatur, TX; and Marvela Ramirez of Joshua, TX. He is survived by his stepsons and stepdaughter John Muniz of Arvada, CO; Kris Muniz, Patrick Muniz, Desiree Muniz of Denver, CO; Anthony Muniz of Westminster, CO. Manuel is also survived by grandkids and great grandkids Sergio Lopez, John Muniz Jr., Jeremiah Muniz, Dominick Muniz, Josiah Muniz, Jiovannah Arriaga of Denver, CO; Michael Muniz of Westminster, CO; Jeremiah Lopez, Ryan Lopez, Leiara Lopez of Arvada, CO; and Jayleene Lozano, Jelani Lozano of Federal Heights, CO.

A funeral service for Manuel will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1209 W 36th Ave, Denver, CO 80211.
