Leroy Brown Vickery, age 80, of Northglenn, Colorado passed away December 9, 2015. Survived by his wife Annetta, daughters Diane, Linda, and Christa, grandchildren Andrea, Tyler, Matthew, Daniel, and Michael, great-grandchildren Ethan and Savannah, brothers Alvin, Don, and Bill, and many relatives and friends.
Born in 1935 in Slick, Oklahoma to Francis and Esther Vickery, he was the eldest of four boys. In 1942 the family moved to Wichita, Kansas. Leroy graduated from East High School in Wichita in 1953. In June of 1954 he married Annetta Richards and the following year they began their family. After the birth of his third daughter the family moved to Colorado in 1965. Leroy began working in the food industry as a teen and continued to do so until he retired at the age of 66 from his position as Rocky Mountain Region Manager for Bar-S Foods in Denver, Colorado.
Leroy was an inspirational leader, teacher, minister, and friend. His optimism and energetic spirit will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
A celebration of Leroy’s life will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2:00PM at the Community of Christ Church, 9501 Lou Drive, Thornton, Colorado.
