Laurie Renee Brown

Laurie is survived by her beloved daughter, Rachel Nicole Brown and her sister, Shannon K. Harper (Ryan). She is also survived by her niece and nephews, Brandis Shipes, Mark Shipes and Chris Harper, all of whom she dearly cherished.

She was predeceased by her father, Leslie J. Kenyon, mother; Myrle Daniels Hock (Dan) and her ex-husband and the father of her child, Joseph Brown.

Laurie received an AA degree from FSCJ in computer studies and was very smart and proficient in Lotus Notes programming, which she made into a successful career. She was also a “cat lady” always having at least one cat, no matter where she lived.

She had a passion for music especially Led Zeppelin and would take her entire stereo system on family vacations so she could have her music.

Laurie also loved her Nascar racing, following her favorite driver Jeff Gordon (#24) every Sunday.

Laurie is finally “at peace” joining her parents and her long lost best friend, Leslie McCray.
