Kimberly (Brinker) Louie was born in Soc Trang, Vietnam on July 16, 1974. She was adopted by James and Donna Brinker on April 16, 1975. Kimberly grew up in Warren, PA and was a 1993 graduate of Warren Area High School. After graduation, she attended Dubois School of Business. Kimberly was known by many Warren, PA area residents through her employment at the Plaza Restaurant. Kimberly relocated to Denver, CO where she became close friends with other adoptees from the 1975 Operation Babylift rescue from Vietnam. Kimberly established a close relationship with Ruth Routten and Mary Nelle Gage who were a part of her rescue from Vietnam.
Kimberly married Benson Louie on September 4, 2004, in Englewood, CO. Kimberly was the loving mother of Vanessa and Mason Louie. She loved being a mother and was actively involved in her children's school, The Academy, and was an active member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church.
Kimberly made friends everywhere she went and was loved by all who knew her. She had an eye for creativity and design. Kimberly was an avid baker, cook, gardener and enjoyed planning family activities as well as entertaining friends.
She is survived by her husband, Benson Louie and children Vanessa and Mason Louie of Thornton, CO; parents, James and Donna Brinker formerly of Warren, PA; mother-in-law, Jean Louie of Thornton, CO; brothers, Mark (Robin) Brinker, Craig (April) Brinker, Jason (Beth) Brinker and Jackson (Lynn) Louie; Aunt, Kathy Ballinger; nieces/nephews, Matthew Brinker, Courtney Brinker, Kaitlin Brinker, Heather (DeShannon) Manning, Harrison Brinker, Connar Brinker, Luke Brinker, Alex Louie, Allison Louie and Alyssa Louie; great niece, Hadley Manning and great nephew, Dominic Manning.
A visitation for Kimberly will be held Friday, May 20, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 12099 Lowell Blvd in Broomfield, CO. Funeral services will be held 10:30am, Saturday, May 21, also at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church. A Graveside service will follow at 12:30pm, at Olinger Highland Cemetery, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229.
