Kenneth "KT" Taylor passed away on April 22 while vacationing in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Kenneth was born on July 27, 1965 in Southfield, Michigan, he was the first child of two born to Andrew Stanley Jr. and Shirley (Bishop) Taylor. Kenneth attended Denver Public Schools and graduated from Manuel High School in 1983. After graduating high school, Kenneth worked for John Shaw (John loved Kenneth like a son) for 1.5 years as a tile finisher before going on to study and play football at Hastings College for 2 years in Hastings, NE. Kenneth met Helen Marie Colter and they were united in holy matrimony in 1992. To this union, one child was born, Kaeyla Marie "Pooh" Taylor. Kenneth and Helen later divorced, and he was in a partnership for 11 years with Rikel Rivera whom Kenneth affectionately called "The Old Lady or Babe". To this relationship, Rikel brought her daughter Luzee Rivera. Kenneth and Rikel raised Luzee as their own daughter. Kenneth also jokingly remarked that Rikel's daughter Iblai Rivera was the "son he never had". Kenneth was also the grandfather of one grandson Kayden "The Puppy" DeBraine. Kenneth was hired by Northwest Airlines (currently Delta Airlines) in 1993 and worked as a Customer Service Agent. He worked part time at Stapleton Airport until Denver International Airport opened in 1995 when he became a full time employee. Kenneth was a union steward for many years. He developed friendships throughout the airport during his 19 years of service, and he impacted all of his co-workers and fellow airport employees that he came in contact with in a positive way. It is said that Kenneth "KT" Taylor had a servant's heart, was always positive, complimentary, willing to help, and gave frequent hugs. Kenneth leaves behind his domestic partner Rikel Rivera, daughters Kaeyla Marie Taylor and Luzee Rivera, and his "son" Iblai Rivera. He also leaves behind his sisters La Shon (Taylor) Vincent, Kenyatta Taylor-Jones, Patricia Loving, Sherylene Solomon, brother Abdul Jabbar, grandson Kayden DeBraine, and a host of other family and friends. Kenneth "KT" Taylor will truly be missed.
