Kathryn Elizabeth Wendt, 74, of Federal Heights Colorado passed away peacefully in the morning hours of November 25, 2020. Born January 4, 1946, Kathy was the daughter of Bradford and Margaret Gorham. In April of 1966 she married Richard Gene Wendt and they celebrated 49 years together before his passing in 2015. Kathy is survived by her four children; Margaret, Kelly, Bradford and Ernest and by her nine grandchildren; Jeffrey, Timothy, Zachary, Alissa, Noah, Bradford Jr., Bethannie, Braiden, Brodie, and four great grandchildren; Ezekiel, Avery, Malachi and Harper.
Kathy worked as an activities director for senior living programs from 1989 until her retirement in 2007. She loved working with senior citizens and cared for the elderly with a heartwarming grace. She also loved daytime dramas, game shows and Bronco games. Kathy spent much of her free time gathering with friends at the senior center, participating in a monthly girls’ night out, lunch dates at her favorite Chinese restaurants, baking and eating holiday treats and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Her legacy will live on in the lives of her children and community, of which she was a cherished member.
Services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, December the 8th at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant Street in Thornton.
