My dear friend Karen, Don't know where to start; together we had softball, football, picture-taking, cabin weekends, hikes, beers at the VFW, festivals, and more, lots of memories.  Can't believe it's 2 months already, how I miss you my friend. You were the bravest and strongest gal I've ever known, and even though you were in pain, you never complained about it and always kept that terrific sense of humor.  Till we meet again someday, keep the gates of Heaven open for me, I may need a rope or a little help getting there but knew I always could count on you. God Bless you and as 'St. Tony' would say, you had courage to face the ups and downs, concerns for the needs of others, and dealt with crisis great and small, but always had your feet solidly on the ground, with total trust, love and dependence on God. I love and miss you, my precious friend.

Aunt Karen...words cannot describe how sad I am right now. I was hoping I would be be able to come and visit you this summer. I am really going to miss our talks. Just thinking of you can make me smile and I want to thank you for reaching to me and sending me all the beautiful pictures. Although we never met in person, you already know that I love and I will miss you. You will always have a special place in my heart.

Aunt Karen, Thank you for remembering and carring for all these years, I know you loved me and the feeling is mutual. I'm sorry and I'm happy for you all at the same time, sorry your gone and we won't see each other here on this rock again, it's been awhile, happy your not suffering any more and your with the one's that you have missed. I'll be along soon enough and we will spend as much time together as you like, seems there is a lifetime to catch up on. I suppose there's a few other folks that will also be at that meeting I'm sure. Hey, we'll just call it a family reunion, I have alot to look forward too. Life is crazy, but the Good Lord will always make it work out in His time not ours, somethings are just better left alone for now, understanding that where you are and I will soon be, when we've been there 10,000 years time will have just begun, so , it's not the end, just the beginning.  Still can't believe you put me in  that basket on your bike and road me down that hill, I remember, I'm still scared, it all came back when I sat at Aunt Jeans kitchen table.

Karen, I do not want to say goodbye to you just see you again someday.  I will miss your laugh and always remember all our fun times in the Army at Ft Eustis. I am so glad to have had all these years of knowing you . I am glad for our three hour talks and your strenght . WAC strong .  lov ya girl

My dear Aunt Karen --  It was and still is an HONOR to call you Aunt !!! Though we only spoke on the phone I know that I loved you from our first Hello !! We have had some good laughs about our favorite football player Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos !!!  I will carry your last words that you said to me on Friday in my heart forever !!!  Just remember that I Love you and glad that you are now resting in the arms of our heavenly father & that you are having a great time reuniting with family up in the great blue yonder !! As we go about our lives we will NEVER forget you - for as I told you when I see that YELLOW BUTTERFLY I know its you checking on me !!! I LOVE YOU and rest in peace !!!   Debbie

Dear Canary ( Karen)  We are sad to have to say goodbye to you -- you were called away too soon, but hope to see you some day at that glad reunion day.  We honor you and thank you for your service to your country.  You were WAC strong until the very last moment.  Way to go girl.

Dear Karen,My memories..so many!!My neighbor since 1972.Our road trip to Ohio,your beloved Siamese cats.Your golden retriever Sam.The Chevy Impala,me and Chantelle used to pretend to drive to California when we were 8yrs old.lol.The bowling leagues,the soft ball teams,with the neighbor hood Moms.The Broncos games!!but your heart was always a Bengals Fan!!I remember the times you'd cut your own hair.lol.then apologize as we tried to fix it!Your life,filled with joy and yes alot of heart ache,and Pain,but now,your home,reunited with Chantelle.No more pain,no more only what if's..but peace,love and forgiveness.In the arms of Our Lord Jesus..good bye for now..JOHN 3v16..love Darla

I only knew you through the WAC group Canary but you sounded like a great person.  Rest now, your job here is done.

Canary Bird, I didn't know you well and had never met you but you were an inspiration to me. You seemed so brave while dealing with your illness. I enjoyed chatting with you on our group and I will miss that and also your "smiley faces". I hope I will meet up with you someday. We love you Karen and will miss you.

Watch over us, Karen, we need your guidance to help us along our way. Until we all march together again, be in peace.
