On December 4, 2020 the angels led John Edward Bramming into paradise. He succumbed to Covid-19. He was born to Fred and Alice Ruggles Bramming on August 29, 1948 in Denver, CO. He grew up and spent all but the last year of his life on the family diary/wheat farm near Eastlake Colorado. He always worked with his father and two uncles on the farm which his grandfather Bramming established in 1915.
He attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Eastlake as a child. And later attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Northglenn and Holy Cross in Thornton. He. was very active in the Faith and Light group which met at St. Dominic Church in Denver. There he was an Eucharistic minister.
In his retirement years he attended the Day Program through North Metro Community Services enjoying trips to museums, the capitol, parks, and the camaraderie of his fellow Day Program pals. Twice he was honored with high achievements awards. He also was chosen twice to representative North Metro Community Services at the Capitol honoring those with special needs. He loved traveling. He and Mary Alice visited Victoria and Quebec Canada and Balleza, Mexico. They traveled all over Colorado and rode every narrow gauge railroad in the state some of them numerous times. John loved taking photos not only of his travels but of the farm and his neighborhood. As the neighboring farms were sold for development he would take pictures of the old buildings so we would not forget what the land used to look like.
He was able to stay on the farm because of the care of his family and loving care givers especially the Chavez family. He was a kind, loving man who was always helpful to others. He was predeceased by his parents, his uncles and aunts. He will be so missed by his sisters, Mary Alice Bramming and Kathy Brim, his brother in law, Ron Brim, 3 nephews, 4 grandnieces, and numerous cousins. Because of the pandemic there will be a family only grave side service. When it is safe to be together and hug there will be a memorial Mass and a great celebration of John's life.
In memoriam donations may be sent to Good Samaritan Foundation, 200 Exempla Cir., Lafayette, CO 80026 or Mountain Promise Faith and Light, c/o Theresa Cramer, 16385 Buckhorn Ln, Parker, CO 80134
