Jerry was born on September 3, 1990 in Denver, CO to Jerry Gallegos Sr and Irma (Lopez) Madrid. He met his wife Amber Garcia in church youth group when they were teenagers and reconnected again. They were married on February 14, 2014. They have one daughter, Aubrey, who is 10 years old and two sons, Ezekiel, age 7 and Angel, age 6.
Jerry loved creating music and expressing himself through his songs. Jerry liked working on cars and went to Lincoln Automotive Tech in Denver, CO to pursue this. He enjoyed art, camping and fishing. Spending time with his children was a priority for him. He was teaching his daughter Aubrey about car maintenance and she helped him with car repairs. He was also teaching his son Ezekiel to use his hand tools. All the children loved walking over to 7-11 to share a special treat with their dad. He would encourage them before school with the scripture from Philippians 4:13. He would tell them, “that they could do all things through Christ who strengthens them.”
Jerry is survived by his wife Amber, their three children, Aubrey, Ezekiel and Angel, his mother Irma, his father Jerry, his brothers Joel and Jacob, his sister Desiree as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 at Olinger Highland Mortuary and Cemetery located at 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, CO at 10:30 a.m. A graveside service and reception will follow the funeral service. A public viewing will also be held on December 18th from 10 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
