Most often answering to “Grandma” or “Aunt Jean”. Jean Dilley entered this world as Jean Eileen Borough on December 8, 1935. Her parents, Cecil and Arminda Borough were living in Tyrone Oklahoma at that time but relocated to Colorado in 1936, Iowa in 1942, and then returned to Denver Colorado in 1949. Jean shared her childhood with 2 brothers and a sister, Daniel, Bud, and Virginia.
On June 1, 1951 Jean Married Theodore Levoy Dilley in Denver Colorado. Ted served in the United States Air Force and shortly after their wedding, the couple were relocated to Clovis, New Mexico. After New Mexico, they served in Wiesbaden, Germany before returning to their home in Denver.
Ted and Jean never got to know their first child Loren, who died at birth. Then in 1954 God blessed the couple with a second child, a girl they named Tanna. In addition to raising Tanna, the Dilley's opened their home to a number of foster children.
Jean loved to be doing things! With her brother Bud as her partner, they painted, papered and remodeled a number of homes in the Denver Area. At the height of their business, they did complete renovation of nursing homes around the intermountain west.
Jean left us to be with Our Lord on November 12, 2017. She is survived by two grandsons, Michael T. Hall and John C. Hall, five great grandsons, and a great-great grand-daughter. Preceding her in death, her parents, husband, both brothers, her sister and both of her children. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Ted in Colorado.
