James G Rolfe was born on July 10, 1952 in Florissant, MO. James was known to most people as Jim or Jimmy. At a young age he grew up quick, jumping in to help lead the family while his dad Perch (Pershing) traveled the majority of the days of year for work, his mom Joie (Josephine) also worked to support the family. Jim started working at a young age at Hostess Bakery in the building maintenance department and as time went on, he moved into production maintenance. During and after his tenure at the bakery, because of some of the things he saw, Jim said he would never eat another twinkie or hostess cream stuffed pastry again.
In 1985 Jim, Joyce and Ian packed their bags from St. Louis to Denver. Jim spent his days working at Delta Petroleum, in the Maintenance department. Jim was known as the “Mayor of Larson Lane” to his friends and neighbors. In true “Mayor” type behavior, Jim was always willing to help friends and neighbors with almost any task. May it have had of been changing an alternator or battery on a car, to fixing lawnmowers, even installing hot water heaters. Jim was almost certainly a jack of all trades, master of none. There wasn’t a classic rock song he couldn’t find a tune too or a way he couldn’t make a mean pork chop. He wasn’t a carpenter, but if it was made of metal, he could find a way to fix it. Jim is survived by his son Ian, brother Paul and sister Jeanne.
Jim leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and hilarious sense of humor. He is also bringing one hell of a party to heaven (yup you just heard a Busch light beer crack). Jim we will miss you!
