Herman C. Batten, loving father, husband and Papa, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2022, in Thornton, Colorado. Herman was born on June 16, 1946, to the late HC and Nina Batten. He was born in Lakeland, Florida but grew up in Ocala, Florida.
After graduation, he enlisted into the Air Force. He became the crew Chief for the F-100 Fighter Jets stationed in Madrid, Spain. Once his four years were served, he came home with his A&P license. While living in Orlando, he met and married Frances "Diane" Moon. They would have stayed in Orlando, however, their daughter's health had them move to Denver, Colorado for a better hospital.
Family and Friends were extremely important to him. He also enjoyed road trips with his grandkids.
Loved ones surviving to cherish Herman's memories are his children, Carmen (Eric) Like and Rachel (Rob) Siple; grandchildren, Sabrina (Brian) Rapp, Hannah (Brandon) Stolz; brothers, Benny (Marsha) Batten and Paul (Pat) Batten.
Herman was preceded in death by his loving wife, Diane M. Batten; beloved brother, Sherman Batten and son-in-law, Donn Like
A Celebration of Life for Herman will be held 1pm, Friday, October 21, 2022 at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. Graveside Inurnment take place at 2:30 at the Olinger Highland Cemetery. A reception will follow, also at Olinger Highland.
