It is was great sadness, our family announces the passing of Helen Romero on December 18, 2020, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She was the proud daughter of Tony and Mary Martinez. Helen had four sisters and five brothers. Her sisters, Agnes Grafton, Mildred Gutierrez, brothers, Louie Martinez and Albert Martinez survives her.
She is the proud mom of Rick Romero (married to Janie Romero) and Rolonda Ramirez (married to Rudy Ramirez). She was married to Edward “Leo” Romero until his passing.
Helen leaves us with 4 grandchildren, Ricky, Sharon, Evan, and Alyssa. She had 4 great-grandchildren, Lucas, Nathan, Neveah, and Matthew. Helen loved her grandchildren endlessly and her face lit with joy when she spent time with them.
Helen was a Caring, Loving, and Faithful person. She would give when she didn’t have, take care of others even when she didn’t feel well, and was always there when someone was in need. As a faithful Christian, she tried to love like Christ.
A small service will be held with limited seating on December 28, 2020, at 10:00 am.
