Until he was 5 yrs old his grandmother raised him and his sisters in New Mexico and then his father took them to Wyoming. He went into the Army in 1960 and served in Germany.
He lived the cowboy life, rode bulls in his early years.
He moved to Northglenn, CO and met his wife Elinor and they got married in Cheyenne, WY, he was thrilled to become the father of 3 girls, Teri, Julie and Tanya and then Natalie came later.
He worked for several Tile and Terrazzo companies and then he started his own company Wilson Tile and Terrazzo until he retired.
After Elinor’s death in 1995, he was busy with work and his grandkids. In 1997 he met Karen and they got married and Whitey welcomed Karen’s blended family and he enjoyed being part of this large family especially being a part of the grandkids activities.
As a result of the blending of the families, they have 14 children, 24 grandkids, 56 great grandkids and 1 great great grandchild. Since he grew up in a very small family, his biggest joy was having a large family and being called grandpa.
The family is asking in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to Rocky Mountain Lutheran High School Gym.
