Harry was born on March 30, 1933 in Coshocton, OH to Thomas Carter Norman and Dorothy Jean Norman. Harry graduated from West Lafayette High School in West Lafayette, OH in 1951. Harry later went on to serve in the US Navy from 1952-1956 in the Korean War. He then married Kathleen Kay Norman on November 22, 1961 in Denver, CO. Kathleen and Harry decided to plant their roots in Thornton, CO. Harry worked as an electrician at Rocky Flats Colorado from 1958-1992 when he retired. As part of his work at Rocky Flats he was pictured in working conditions and the picture was displayed at the Smithsonian. He was a member of the Northglenn United Methodist Church and very active in the Thornton Senior Center. Harry enjoyed wood carving, bowling, golf, square dancing, camping, and reading.
Harry is survived by spouse Kathleen Kay (Olson) Norman, children Richard Allen Norman (Lori), Teresa Lynn Thompson (Robert), and Jeffrey Edward Norman (Sonya). Grandchildren Rachel Norman, Justin Thompson (Colleen), Jordan Thompson (Amelia), Ryan Norman, Kaylie Norman, and Sophia Norman. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas Carter Norman and Dorothy Jean Norman, siblings Lois Jean (Norman) Leech, James Norman, and Thomas Norman.
A funeral service for Harry will be held Monday, April 21, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229, followed by a graveside service from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
