Gregory passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 22nd. He had just turned 51 the preceding Friday. He was born in Thornton, CO but spent a lot of his time growing up in Georgia, Nebraska and Arizona. He moved back to Colorado living for a time with his Uncle Steve and Aunt Janet Edelen in in Eastlake. Shortly thereafter, he met and married his wife, Heather. They were married for over 27 years and raised two amazing children, Maranda and Kyle.
For the last year and a half, Gregory has been in poor health, battled COPD, COVID, Pneumonia and sepsis. Up until then, he was adventurous, loved to fish, camp, go boating and be with his family and friends. To say he is missed is an understatement. For his wife, children & family, his loss is the worst pain that has ever been felt.
Gregory loved his fur babies and fell in love (again) with cats due to the strong urging of his wife and children. He loved with all his heart and often ended his conversations with close friends as "I love you brother" and he meant it. His hugs were tight and long. He loved Poudre Canyon although, he had not been there is some time due to his illness. He also enjoyed working around the house and helping out his friends and family, whenever he could. He was an automotive machinist and he was very proud of his trade.
Greg is survived by his wife, children, his mother Elisa Goss of Sun Lakes, AZ., as well as both of his sister’s Gina Graham and Mandy Balza both in Arizona. Uncle Steve Edelen of Texas, as well as nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, cousins and brothers in laws. And of course, many many friends.
He was proceeded in death by his opa & oma, Benjamin & Marjorie Goss and his father Gary Goss. His aunts Sandy Goss, Janet Edelen and Kathy Aranda. His nephew, Marty Wilson and niece Jalynn Wilson. Cousin Kenneth Edelen.
There will be a celebration of life held at his home, 10128 Glencoe Ct. Thornton, CO. on Saturday, September 17th starting at noon and ending when the story telling is over. This is a casual event as Greg was the most casual person to know. Encouraging all to wear T-shirts and shorts. In memory of him, please wear Broncos, Rockies or AC/DC gear or any other band t-shirts from his list of favorites. No black unless it’s a Back in Black t-shirt or similar.
