Gloria was born on April 3rd, 1940, in Trinidad, Colorado, to proud parents, Ben Baca and Eva Baca. She was one of 9 children, and her family was always her top priority. Gloria's strong faith in God and her devotion to the Catholic Church played a significant role in her life, and she lived her life with a commitment to serving others.
Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who dedicated her life to her family. She had a strong and loving spirit that extended beyond her immediate family to her nieces, nephews, and friends. Her generous heart and strong spirit touched everyone who knew her, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a word of advice and encouragement.
Gloria was a dedicated member of her church and faithful servant of The Holy Trinity. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she shared her love of God with everyone she met. She was a role model for her children and grandchildren, instilling in them the importance of faith, family, and community.
Gloria is survived by her children, Edward, Donna, Alan, and Anna, her 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, her sisters, Hendrietta Medina, Flora Gonzales and Orlando Baca; brother, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her child Jayne Basquez, husband Joseph Basquez, and siblings Fred Baca, Ben Baca, Stella Dubois, and Loretta Baca. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on through the love and kindness she shared with those around her.
A visitation will be from 2pm until 6pm, Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant Street in Thornton. A recitation of the Rosary will be 10:00am, Wednesday, May 3 at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 11385 Grant Drive in Northglenn. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Interment will be 2pm at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon in Denver. A reception will take place at the American Legion Post 17, 1901 N. Harlan Street in Edgewater.
