I met Frank, Val and the children when my son played hockey with Michael.  Frank was a great father and a good friend.  He was so thoughtful and encouraging to the players.  He will be missed by all that knew him.  My most sincere condolences to the family.

Frankie, not a day goes by that I don’t think about you and remember the good times we shared, not only at work but also away from there. The great  times I had with you and your wonderful family. Thank you for welcoming Trooper and me into your home and in your lives. 

You’ll always be remembered and cherished. We still talk about you and laugh about the great times we had with you and your family. The funny things that you did, that we all did, lol.

Frank played with our Southern California based coed softball team when we participated in the Colorado police and fire games. It was a pleasure and honor to have met  him. He was very hospitable in showing us around town and he and Valerie took us to several places that we enjoyed touring.  We are all saddened by the loss of Frank and have his family in our thoughts and prayers.  

We are thinking of Frank's family during this very difficult time. We are so saddened to hear about his passing. We were neighbors with Frank and Val for five years on Misty Street, and were so grateful to have such wonderful, friendly neighbors across the street. We have two pieces of their artwork- a Colorado flag and a beautiful painted collage of cut branches from their tree- proudly displayed in our home. Frank was always friendly and kind, we had many "driveway chats" and we felt so safe knowing he kept an eye on the neighborhood. Our prayers are with Val and their whole family.

My husband and I felt so privileged to help Frank and his lovely family over the last 5 years with the wonderful Christmas toy drive Frank held for children in Federal Heights. You could see how much the children in that community meant to him. He was always so gracious to allow us to share in this event. Our thoughts and prayers are with his lovely family in this difficult time.

We met Frank when our son Michael Eason started working at Federal Heights Fire Department. Frank got to be a very good friend to our family.  He was a kindhearted, Careing, funny and a very sociable person.  He loves his sports especially competing with the fire department in various games, including softball.  He did a lot for the community as well.  He was so funny, when we would go pick up our grandsons after school at the Pinnacle he would be directing traffic and tease me and always tell me to wave with all my fingers.  Our hearts go out to Val, the kids and grandchildren, including the entire family.  R.I.P.  Frank, we love you and  will miss seeing your smiling face.  Jimmy, Tootsie and Shannon Eason. 🙏🏼😢💔

Still struggling and heartbroken, trying to find the right words. Frank was an amazing man. Many have said he was a cop’s cop. This is true. But he was also a citizen’s cop, especially for the children. And a dispatcher’s cop! Frank always took the time to stop by dispatch and check in. Offering a smile, sharing a laugh or two, and providing a break if needed.  

18 years ago I started at Federal Heights. Frank was kind and welcoming. Answering so many questions for this new dispatcher with zero experience. Frank’s passion was officer/responder safety. He taught me how to keep this paramount in all my duties. 

Frank had a hand in everything. FTO, Reserves, Water World, Christmas for the Kids, and so much more. Always so active on and off duty. Definitely the best role model to follow and try to emulate. 

Thank you Frank for your guidance, knowledge, but most of all your friendship. You will not be forgotten. You are missed! Your legacy lives on in all of us who had the privilege to know you. May you rest in peace.

I have been trying since I heard the news about Frank to come up with a word that could describe what he meant to us. The best I can come with is—constant. Frank was a friend and neighbor for 30 yrs and he was constantly there for everyone. He was always there for the neighborhood kids to play with and listen to, to help dig cars out of the snow, to help catch the person breaking into our neighborhood cars or to show up at the hospital in the middle of the night when my husband was injured in the line of duty. We feel incredibly lucky to have had Frank’s friendship all these years and hope that we continue to be a constant presence for his family like he always was for so many people. 

I have had the pleasure of both Frank and Val helping me with victim services through the years, holiday food baskets and Santa presents.  Frank was always first to volunteer and my biggest supporter, his heart was bigger than the world. You definitely will be missed.

I was heart broken when I heard the news of Frank's passing. I have enjoyed working with him for 7 years and found him to be one of the best men I knew. He was honest and always willing to help and answer any questions I had. I knew I could trust what he told me. He often spoke of his family, kids and grandkids. He loved them so much as you could tell from his voice and how he shared those stories. I have good memories of our time together and wish him peace now. My prayers go out to his friends and family who will miss his smile and laugh. God bless you Frank. 

Frank, I learned so much from you over the nearly 20 years of working with you and the continued friendship I had with you afterwards. You were the hardest working person I knew. A man full of pride, true integrity, morals and good ethics. A man I knew I could trust my life with, somebody I could always rely on and someone I knew would would always truly have my back. Frank, I hope you know that everything I told you was true, I always had your back too. 

Frank, I loved your sense of humor 😁. The practical jokes you or you and Val would play were hilarious. I even found myself getting wrapped up as the victim in many of them, but I never minded because they were always good hearted in nature.  Listening to Frank talk about the love for his family was wonderful. I watched as he and Val raised Michael, Jacquelyn  and Brittany in a very loving home. They were all his pride and joy. The love Frank and Val had for one another was beautiful and unmatched.  Frank also spoke highly of his father and his visits with him in Parker and about his family back east. I’d often tease him when his NY accept would come through then we’d go rounds. 

Frank and I loved talking about The Colorado Rockies and The Colorado Avalanche as they were our favorite teams. I’ll never forget hearing him saying “Hey Tam, how bout those Avs?” Then we’d go on and on about players, coaching the last game and the next one coming up. My family and I attended a few Rockies games with Frank, Val and the kids when they were younger, such great times. Frank loved heading up our Volleyball Team at the PD for the State Police & Fire Games every year. Our greatest year was in Colorado Springs when we won the Gold Medal!

Val & family, please know how much we love you all, we always have & always will. You’ve always been family to us 💕.

Frank you taught me so much as a green rookie in 2003, who knew nothing. Trained me, cleared me and always helped with improving my craft and became a mentor in this line of work. So, I worked with Frank in undercover Loss Prevention  at a retail store back when we were 21 yrs old. Frank was my boss for several years. Frank had quit for another job. One night I discovered I had a burglary brewing and called Franks mother. I told his mother where I was at and to tell Frank. Do you know that guy showed up to help me and he was even being paid . 
This guy would help anyone for anything!

Frank was a neighbor and friend for 30 years. He was caring and always dependable in our neighborhood. Frank was a role model for all the neighborhood kids. He organized outside games, rode his children’s scooter, and played street hockey with all the kids! Frank was such a joy to have around, always greeted us with a big smile. Frank had a great sense of humor and we could always count on him. I got locked out of my house and Frank jumped right in to help me out. Frank and Val were chosen as outstanding neighbors by the Broomfield sentinel. Frank was always ready to lend a helping hand. Frank was always outside taking care of his cars, I used to tease him about washing my car!! We loved talking broncos and Avalanche with Frank. We will miss you Frank, you’re in our hearts forever. I worked with Frank for just a couple of years.  I remembered how when processes changed he would be the first to tell you of his love/hate relationship with technology.  When he had a spare moment we would sit at this desk and he would have me walk him through it.  He wanted to get it right, get it done, and make my job a bit easier.  I will miss his stories he told me of the good ole days and his work ethic. My heart goes out to his family and friends at this difficult time. He will be missed greatly.

So sad to hear you're no longer of this earth Frank. I fondly remember the early morning hours on the graveyard shift speaking with you, and sharing police stories. You are a good man.  Heaven gains.  

I was a victim advocate for about 7 years in the city of Federal Heights from 2003 ish to 2010.  Frank was always so helpful to me and the other volunteer VA's in the unit.  I remember each year the hugh Christmas toy drive that he would spear head.  We would spend many days and night's at the PD getting the toys ready and then wrapping them.  So many times spent talking to him, listening and learning.  He was a great man, friend, teacher and officer! 
My heart broke when I heard of his passing.  It has been many years since I left the Heights and all the wonderful people that I knew there, but it has also always still felt like home from all the special memories and life growing experiences I had there in part due to Frank.
I am sending prayers, condolences and love to his family, friends and colleagues during these trying times as everyone gathers to grieve, console and celebrate Franks life from Surprise, AZ.  I so wish that I could be there in person for his service, but know I will be there in my thoughts and prayers this Thursday!

I was honored to have worked with Frank these last 8 years.  He loved to volunteer as the Municipal Court Security Officer and would go above and beyond to make sure we were safe.
Frank was a great person; always appreciated his advice and knew he would tell me the truth.  When I think of him, I remember the passage in the Word, Proverbs 27:6a, faithful are the wounds of a friend.

I’ll never forget you putting me in handcuffs and forgetting the key and us having to get the Elizabeth PD to take them off, all that and us being worried about what Grandpa was going to think! Frank was such an amazing and funny man. He was Rick's FTO and treasured fellow officer & friend for over 27 years ago. 

After Rick was on his own after FTO, I was speeding down 92nd (thinking I saw Rick in his patrol car wanting to say hello). It was actually Frank, who pulled me over for speeding! I said to him "OH I thought you were Rick." He laughed and pointed to his hair and said "Do I look like Rick? I don't think so!" We both laughed so hard because those of you who know Rick are aware of how he was always so concerned about how his hair looked. So many memories of Volleyball, Police and Fire Games and the PARTIES...EPIC parties and Frank and Val's.

I am sorry to hear about Franks passing.  He was a good friend  of my husband and was there for him when he was sick.  He was one that Steve wanted to be sure I contacted to let him know to come by and see him and bring the group.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of the family.

I will miss Frank dearly.  Frank and I played softball together for over 20 years.  Frank always included me on his teams.  Often times, I was the only guy on the softball team who wasn't a cop or firefighter.

Frank knew I was very fond of his career as a police officer.  I was very fortunate enough to be spoiled by Frank as he took me on numerous ride-alongs.  I lost track how many we went on together, but those were some great times we spent in the police car.  I can still hear him saying, "Nine your fine, Ten your mine."  Or, one more ticket Ken and we'll go get a bite to eat.  Frank always treated the citizens with the utmost respect and dignity.

Even on days I was working near his PD, I'd stop and talk to him while he was in the one and only sneaker unit.  Every cop knew that was Franks' police car.  Somehow, I'd always catch him running radar, or on a call.  Frank was really a super-cop without a real cape!

I sincerely admired watching what I thought was the most professional, and caring police officer to perform the job.  He was definitely a go-getter and he loved his fellow officers by providing them the safest equipment to keep them free from harm.  

Frank was not only generous - he cared deeply for others as if they were also his family.  I remember how he would put on a toy drive for the kids who needed a Christmas.  Giving to others was such an attribute and second nature to Frank.

Frank, I will sincerely miss you and the friendship we made.  I pray for your family to heal during this difficult time.   Thank you for those precious memories Frank.  I know God has a special place in Heaven for Sam4.  God Bless you Frank... Love, Ken Colaizzi

Frank would organize a toy drive every year at Federal Heights. I attached a photo and he is not in it because he was to busy organizing it and making sure everything ran smoothly, but you can hopefully see how big it was.  He would go door to door to invite kids to the drive. I miss the toy drive and I miss talking to Frank about where to buy toys and when to buy toys etc etc. 

Frankie was such a beautiful soul and  I was very blessed to have him as my cousin.   We had so many memories growing up, all of our cousins going to visit my Aunt Ellen and Uncle Ticks home, laughing till late in the night making fun of all the Aunts and Uncles.   Frank always singing Bill Grogans Goat with us as backup singers, him making fun of our LI accents.  Our Moms were sisters and family was very important.  I am glad we kept the tradition going and our children were able to spend time together getting to know their cousins.  I will truly miss you Frank, may you rest in peace.   I love you dearly, until we meet again …

Frank was a kind and genuine man. I never got the chance to work with him in law enforcement but he was always at WaterWorld where our paths crossed continuously over the years especially this last summer. He was always there asking how to be there for his team while he was always there to give good life advice. I’ll miss our conversations Frank. You were a good man and I send my deepest condolences to your family, friends and brothers/sisters in uniform.

I had the privilege to work with Frank for the first 3 years of my career. He taught me so much from being on scene with him. My best memories come from playing softball with him and having the privilege to play in the police and fire games with him along side LAPD.
