Donna Rae Allen was born September 11, 1946 to Robert Lee Page and Eleanor Mary Watson. She grew up the oldest daughter among her 6 siblings. Quiet and shy, she excelled at her schooling and often helped care for her younger siblings. She attended college in Missouri and earned a Bachelor’s degree in early education.
She taught for a while but eventually found her calling in helping low-income people and families through public service. She worked for various offices that processed food stamps, Medicaid and other welfare programs for the state and various counties her whole career. She retired from the State with over 30 years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Spence, her two daughters, Heather and Holly, her son-in-law, Nick, and her three grandchildren, Aydin, Evie, and Nikolas. She is also survived by her siblings, Bobby (Carol), Jeanie (Steve), Robin (Terrance), Susie, and Lee (Bernie) and many other family members and friends.
Donna always saw the joy in life. She was a sweet person that always had a kind word for everyone. She loved Christmas and crafting and spending time with her family and friends. She was the glue that kept us all together and will be greatly missed.
