Born on Wednesday November 20th, 1944 in Alamosa, CO to the parents of Pedro and Amelia Salazar. His siblings include Consuelo, Anthony, Ephruiam, Gloria, and Amelia. He passed away on Tuesday March 28th, 2023.
Pedro grew up in a small town called Manassa, CO. Around the age of 14 he moved to Denver, CO after the passing of his father. At the age of 19 he enlisted in the US Army 1st Cavalry Division. He served from June 30th, 1964 to June 29th, 1967 when he was honorably discharged. Manuel then went on to work for school District 12 as a Heavy Equipment and Groundskeeper until he retired. Pedro worked for Walmart for 5 years just to have something to do. Pedro has two boys, Tommy and Alfredo, several grandchildren, Meadow, Penelope, Mia, Georgia, and Roman, as well as one great grandson, Eversin.
Anyone who spent time with Manuel knew his personality, whether it was his sense of humor, his stubbornness or when he wanted to be a ladies man. Pedro was always a person you could depend on for anything big or small. He would never judge, sure make his opinion known, but never judge. Manuel was always along for the ride. Man he loved them and over the past two years his princess Harley would always be his partner. He would point out wildlife and nature. The radio would have some Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Jose Alfredo, Whitney Huston and the list goes on. Manuel had so many life stories to tell about anything and everything. He loved his bike rallies and talking to people. Manuel would talk about his guns, his favorite shows like WWE, GSN, sport games or the fights, but his favorite movies are the old westerns. No matter what was going on, Pedro was going to make it a party and have a good time. Pedro was everyone’s father. He took care of everyone and never asked for anything in return.
In the end Pedro was a very loved man who will continue to be loved, cherished, and missed by a lot of people.
