Della Ruth Hink

She met Earnest Hink while working on a farm in Northeast Colorado. They married and settled in the Sedgwick area for 5 years. While there, they had two sons, Charles and Randy. In 1951, they moved to Sidney, Nebraska, staying there until 1956. They then moved to Thornton, making that their home until Earnest passed in 2001.

Della worked as an administrative assistant in the Adams County School District 12 for many years. After her retirement in 1990, she became active in Senior Friends, where she participated in exercise groups, and helped lead a Tai Chi class.

She was a longtime member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Della also enjoyed travelling, and took several trips to Korea, Taiwan, Hawaii and other places around the world.

She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Della is survived by her sons, Charles (Kum Cha) Hink and Randy Hink; grandchildren, Teresa (J.D.) Fontenot and Thomas (Sunny) Hink; great-grandchildren, Victoria and Konnor; and siblings, Sylvia Bogenhagen, Gayle Anderson, Vayle Anderson and Darryl Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest A. Hink.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 4 – 6 pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary in Thornton. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013, 10 am at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Thornton.
