Bonnie was a beautiful person. What a survivor she was. She was one of our Angels here on earth. What a reunion she must have had when she entered Heaven.  God Bless to all the family.

Aunt Louise was about as angelic as they come!  I loved being with her!  She was a gifted painter, poet and “story teller”. Most of her stories were light hearted stories about family that would have you laughing out loud. She always saw the best in people and knew how to make everyone feel important. In her was an abundance of faith, hope and love. I was truly blessed to have her in my life. 

Growing up in Grandma’s Kitchen 					
Bonnie’s kitchen was filled with wonderful, painful, happy, stupid, sticky, messy, yet beautiful memories.

Grandma Bonnie had perfect hair, perfect lipstick and a perfect outfit -
with shoes & a purse that tied it all together... splashed with a dirty apron from cooking all morning.  Natalie remembers grandma reminding her “to always look your best. You never know when you’ll find the one.”  Grandma was one to look her best - a true Southern Bell.

Loving her family with fried chicken and grits.  “Y’all come to dinner now!”  Grandma always made enough for an army.  The gift of hospitality at its best. 

Grandma singing with Cannonball while mixing up the pound cake.  That cake was always the centerpiece protected with a simple glass lid on a silver platter.  

Natalie bouncing on grandpa Wayne’s knee with his 3 inch kleenex twists dangling from his ears.

Sylvia’s paint brushes soaking in the sink with Patti’s music drifting from a piano up the stairs.

Mark’s coffee stained poetry cluttered the counters.  

Lilac Bushes lined the back fence from the tiny kitchen window everytime I washed the Easter dishes.

Uncle Wayne teasing us with “whisker burn” kisses.

When her guest list of grandbabies overflowed in the kitchen she moved the fancy table to the spare bedroom and continued to set an immaculate table with delicate flowered China below the elegant chandelier. 

Krystal and friends loved hiding under the kitchen table while drinking pickle juice with quiet giggles and grandma pretending not to know.

Tear filled stories of Aunt Silvia - while frying trout and hush puppies in her electric skillet.

Heide “Baby” loved sipping coffee with Grandpa Wayne-  giving us a teaspoon of coffee and a cup of milk so we could sit around the dining room table with all the adults after dinner.  

Nikki cherished that lucious Russian Fluff and Banana pudding layered with Nilla Wafers.

Painting lessons for all at the kitchen table.  Along with Reciting her poetry and stories as we listened with interest.

Sending us home with “Be sweet now, ya here!”  after getting her fill of “Sugah” as we filed out.

That kitchen on Monterey Circle was our HOME and a refuge for 55 years, 
Home for friends and family alike…

I will never forget-"You all come back now-you hear!"  I can still taste her banana pudding!  Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Wayne, Sidi, and Mark are together- we'll all be with God

One of my favorite memories of Aunt Bonnie will always be of her and the rest of the wives sitting around the kitchen table planning holiday parties, potlucks and mountian picnics, and most of all her world famous pound cake.  She was a sweet heart and loved by us all,  and will be missed,  God bless.

Louise was a wonderful person.  She always found ways to take on whatever came her way with common sense and good humor.  She was light years ahead of most of us in that regard.  I'll always have good memories of the times when she was at Lake Murray and I was there too.  For all of us lucky enough to know her, whether family or friends, I'm sure we will all miss her!

Oh, so many wonderful memories with this sweet woman. She was encouraging and kind. She also had THE BEST baked Mac n cheese. Loved by so many, she will be missed. 

I remember her lovely Southern accent, and she was always happy with a beautiful smile on her face! She was a very gracious and hospitable lady, I always felt welcome in her home. I always enjoyed my conversations with her. I can picture her now full of joy to be with Jesus.

Bonnie was a force to be reckoned with. I will always remember her sweet southern accent and her stirring up something delicious in the kitchen (especially her famous Mac and Cheese). Bonnie was an exceptional painter and I loved going to her house as a little girl and seeing the new pieces she’d create. I admired her. She was kind, loving, strong, and a fierce caregiver.  She never turned anyone away that needed a hand in life. Growing up with my best friend and Bonnie’s granddaughter, Krystal, I was in her home often and she treated me like her own. I have so many memories of her and she will not be forgotten. Her memory will certainly live on. I aspire to be as beautiful a soul as she. 

My sincere condolences to the Gray family. Bonnie was a sweet and loving lady who I will miss. She was my mother in law for a short time but I used to visit her on my summer breaks. She was always kind to me. Love and prayers for the family ❤️

December 3, 2020.  First time meeting her and it was an honor.  She  kept talking about Alita and how proud she was of Krystal.  She will be greatly missed.

I will never forget the time when my friends came over to my grandmas house and we would sneak a jar of pickles and drink the juice. We would hide under the table so she couldn’t see us- but she always knew. And always said that the pickle juice would dry up our blood. I will forever hold this memory close to my heart ❤️
