It's hard to believe it's already been over three weeks since Dad passed away.  I miss him more and more each day and although there is still a lot of sadness, there is so much comfort in all of the wonderful memories Dad gave us.  He was the kindest, strongest, most loving man I've ever known and it is such a privilege and honor to be his son.  I love you Dad.

Words cannot begin to express what my husband Art means to me. He has been the center of my universe since we met in the fall of 1972. He was a loving,strong,and compassionate man. We were inseparable during our almost 43 years of marriage. I will miss his physical presence every day for the rest of my life. I know his spirit lives on in my heart and the hearts of James,Tom,Barbara,Colton,and Isabelle as well as all his brothers and sister and that he will help us to find the strength to carry on. Art,I love you!

Our deepest condolences to you all. Art was a wonderful person. We both had the pleasure of working with Art & James at Mattress King and my Mother-in-law also worked with Art at Montgomery Wards. Art was such a kind and funny person. He was always good for making you smile on a rough day or making you laugh in the slow times. I will never forget his AWESOME dance moves. I remember very slow times at the castle where Art would show us all how to do the twist :).... We are so sorry that we were not able to attend the celebration of his life with you all - we just found out about his passing yesterday. We feel truly blessed to have known him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time. Praying for peace and comfort for you.

My deepest condolences go out to Elaine, James and Tom ❤ We have been in-laws for years but you have been such a blessing in our lives and you have watched my children grow up. Every family event, Art would be the one to chat about sports and throw the football in the yard with the kids. He cared about my mom when our dad passed away and we will be here to love and support you as you are going through this. My heart breaks for his two grandbabies Colton and Isabelle who will only know how great their grandpa was through the many stories and pictures we will share. Art your were a very special person in our lives. You will truly be missed. Elaine, James, Barbara and Tom my prayers are with you.  I know Art is in heaven looking out for us all. Art you were such a great role model for each and everyone of us.

Elaine and family,  It has been a long time. I wish I could have been with you yesterday to celebrate Art's life.  I am honored to call him friend. He has been my friend for 60+ years, who always had a smile and a kind word.  I am assured that God has him in His loving arms. Hopefully we can visit the next time I am in Denver.

I remember going to Art and Elaine's wedding.  He was always a great husband and father.  Our prayers are with you.

Elaine, James, Tom and Barbara, you are in my constant thoughts and prayers.  Art was a wonderful husband, dad, brother and friend.  He left a lasting imprint on the hearts and souls of all those he came in contact with by his expression of kindness and gentleness. His smile brightened the day!!!  Heaven is blessed by his presence and he will never leave your hearts and memories. We are here for you, and will do all we can to lighten your burden. Know you are loved by so many and our hearts and prayers go out to you all.

Though I wish I had been able to get to know him better, my brief time with Art made a lasting impression. His fearless and uncompromising love and support for his family was beyond evident. Many families and most fathers would have struggled, much less even shown up but Art was present for his son and his family in a way I will never forget. I know I'm just one of the countless number of people who's life he touched and impacted.  His love and legacy will live on through all of us. Much love and prayer to everyone who loved him.

I first met him many years ago working together on the archaeological display at the Adams County Museum.  He was a true friend all these years. I enjoyed our many visits over lunch.

I worked with Art at Mattress King at the "Castle" in its last days.  We had some fun times joking and laughing and talking sports. He had a great love for his son, James, they were a father and son combo that worked well together. I was sad to hear of his passing. I am thankful I got to know him and he will be missed. My prayers to the Cooper family.

I am Art's first cousin by his father's sister Mary, my mother.  Art's Aunt Mary Scott is 91 years old on January 27. We share a common love of family and a heritage that is cherished.

Carol and I are very sad to hear of Art's passing. Our acquaintance with Art and his sons was during the years we exhibited our artifact collection at the Stone Age Fair in Loveland, Colorado. We met many fine people at the Stone Age Fair and Art and sons were one of our favorites to visit with great folks.
