Yee Foon Lo, age 88, passed peacefully on September 11, 2022 at Mon Sheong Stouffville Long-Term Care Centre. She is survived by her three sisters who live in Hong Kong and China, her two daughters Annie and Margaret, and her grandchildren Natalie, Vivienne, Jason, and Emily.
Yee Foon Lo was born in China in 1934, one of six children, and moved to Hong Kong in her twenties. She was fiercely independent, determined, and devoted to raising her daughters. A lifelong practicing Buddhist, she also spent a few years living at a temple in Sha Tin. She taught her daughters the importance of education, caring for those around you, and to be thankful for what you have.
The family would like to express deep thanks to the staff at Mong Sheong Stouffville for going above and beyond in their care. A visitation will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill, ON L4J1W3.
