Wolfgang Otto Graf

Born May 17, 1940 in Jena, Germany and passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in Toronto on August 24, 2012. Wolf leaves behind his sister Hiltrud Graf of Darmstadt, Germany and his three cousins and their families of Jena, Germany. When he was 10, the family moved to Pretoria, South Africa. Wolf obtained his B.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering) at Pretoria University. He then came to Canada in 1965 to continue his studies at The Institute for Aerospace Studies (University of Toronto). Wolf worked at the Institute until his retirement in 2005. He enjoyed his regular visits to see family in Germany and hiking with his sister in Switzerland. In Canada, Wolf was an avid hiker, canoeist and cross-country skier. A quiet and caring man, he will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 5th at 1 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Reception to follow at the funeral home. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross, The Salvation Army or the Alzheimer Society.
