William Donald Marshall

After a courageous battle with COPD, Bill passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of over 50 years to Dianne (nee Alexander). Father of much loved girls Kelly (John Purcell), Tammy (Serge) Sotoadeh and Kimberley (Doug) Wilson. Bill was proud of his sons-in-law and treasured his grandchildren Anthony, Nicholas, Connor, Jacob and Alexandra. Survived by his brother Bob (Doreen) and sister Patricia Kocher. Predeceased by his parents Oliver and Marna. Bill was born and raised in Arthur, Ontario. He came to Toronto in 1957 and held a position at Bell Canada for over 35 years. Enjoying a well deserved early retirement at the age of 55. Bill touched the lives of many people with his smile, sincerity and unending generosity, maintaining his trademark sense of humour till the end. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bill's life on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association.
