Peacefully, at Mackenzie Health on January 6, 2015 in his 82nd year. Lovingly missed by his wife Donna, son Eric, daughter Erin, granddaughter Jocelyn Dubreuil, and brother Wayne Charles. Warren was an active volunteer and community leader. He was a founder and past chairman of the Thornhill Seniors Club, former Chairman of The Heintzman House, Advisory Board Member and Vice Chairman for the Thornhill Arena and Community Center, founder and past President of the Canadian Society for Military Medals and Insignia. Warren's lifetime of community service was recognized by the Governor General of Canada with the Queen Elizabeth II Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals. Published Author of “Wings: Canada in Great Britain 1913-1945” and “Eagles: Recalled Airforce Wings of Canada, Great Britain and the British Common Wealth 1913-1945” and consultant for the movie “Dark Blue World” and CBC TV’s “The Last Mission”. As per Warren’s wishes, a cremation has taken place and there will not be a funeral service. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Warren can be made to a charity of choice.
