It has been a couple years now, but not a day goes by that I do not think about Tre. I am always thinking about his mom and brother, and hope they are doing well. I miss and love you, Tre.

I remember him so well. Tres was in my grade 3 class. Such a lovely young boy who was always kind to everyone. I’m so sad for this. He was a great spark in my class.

To Luong, Todd, Tommy, your entire family and friends. I'm sorry I couldn't see you in person. My most sincere condolences for the loss of Truyen.
He was always a wonderful friend, an amazing dancer, he was good at everything he did. I truly value him as a friend, I love him dearly and he will be greatly missed.  ❤

I first met Tre when he was roommates with Mikka. I have a lot of good memories of training together at Krudar - you used to kick so hard I would always have bruises on my arms from holding pads. You were such a funny guy and you always helped me out when you could. And you were such a great dancer! 

I'm sad that we lost touch and that you are no longer with us. I hope you are at peace now and I will miss you.

Tre was an incredible light in this world. He was amazing at basically anything he set his mind too. He was an amazing friend and dog dad. 
His laugh much like his energy was contagious and his hugs were the best. He was a fantastic dancer. 

Thank you for our memories, for our friendship and most of all thank you for being such a beautiful human being. I will miss you. May you rest in peace and just keep dancing.

Mikka Gia

I first met Tre when I was a customer at SAIL many years ago. He was full of energy and expertise. A few months later I worked for him at SAIL in footwear. He always had the most epic stories, wore the brightest shoes, and got me hooked on Osprey. I still talk about him at work when selling packs and shoes.  He had an energy about him that was contagious and made an impact everywhere he went.

Tre’s giant smile, rambunctious laugh, and overflowing joy for his dogs will be my loving memory. We worked together at MEC, backing our chairs into each other every time one of us tried to get up. He’d laugh with kindness, in such a big way, every time. He went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and brought so much levity and kindness to stressful situations. He had a true skill in ‘seeing’ people where they were at and meeting them there. He brought genuine goodness to the world.  

Tre was one of the strongest athletes I've ever had the priviledge of knowing, with one of the biggest hearts.

We met while working at MEC together, and quickly became climbing buddies. We  ended up sharing so many laughs and stories along the way, friendship was inevitable. Tre always had my back when I needed that extra boost of courage to take on something scary.  I'll still think of his voice in my head when I'm about to push the limit.

When I lost some of my tools at work and was in a tough spot in life, Tre offered to lend me his awesome titanium hammer and nail bar without me even asking.  That act of kindness is something which I will never forget.

My deepest sympathies and heart felt love and support to Tre’s family. I had the privilege of meeting Tre through his amazing mother. Tre was sunny, talented, loved his dog and friends deeply, and was full of energy.  Loved by many, and will be missed very much. 

The best climbing partner. 

He was like my big brother. I could tell him anything and he wouldn’t judge. He just knew that I needed love and support. 

We always had the funnest and silliest time. 

These two came to the climbing gym wearing the same pants. 

We were laughing and having so much fun. He always brought the biggest stoke and knew how to make people smile and laugh. 



first and foremost, my deepest condolences to family and those closest to him.  He is loved, and will be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tre in my early 20s and throughout our friendship sharing common interests and fond memories.  Whether we spent time enjoying b-boying and dancing, snowboarding and camping... and even just meeting for Pho because i knew i was going to work a late shift and meeting with him for lunch would be the highlight of my day... he was always that smile that made the day.

I consider myself blessed to have known you, spent time with you and carry many memories of how you brought happiness into my life.  I know that you are in the hearts of many and in our memories forever.

Good friends we have... good friends we've lost... along the way.

Tre... we love you, we miss you.

I don’t even know what to write here.  My deepest condolences to all his family and friends.  Tre was the most wonderful person and soul. Truly am grateful that our paths crossed and we became so close and like second family in most of my 20s and kept randomly crossing as we grew up and life and work took over.  We would cross paths and see each other and he had the best hugs and it was so easy to slide back into our friendship like no time had passed.  He was one of the warmest, kindest, generous and non-judgemental persons I know.  He’ll be missed dearly, that smile.  But I’m so grateful for his to have met him and had we had shared been a part of our lives.  Tre you are beautiful soul and I hope the next step is another beautiful and peaceful journey.  ./cheesy 

So heartbreaking to lose such a kind and sweet soul. To his loved ones I am so deeply sorry for this loss. 

Tre and I met working at MEC and Tre brought so much kindness to our workplace. He would always be ready to laugh and try and make light of the things you face in retail and as a team leader I felt like he really worked to make sure his coworkers felt supported and cared for. He loved his doggies so very much and spoke of them like they were his babies.
