It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Siranoush Hanessian who died peacefully in her sleep on the morning of December 7, 2024. Siranoush was born on December 1, 1930 to Hagop and Mariam Oshanian in Aleppo, Syria. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Sarkis Hanessian and survived by her sons Viken (Raffaela) and Armen (Jennifer) and grandchildren Sarkis, Alex and Sonia.
Siranoush and Sarkis lived in Aleppo until 1968, when they decided to leave for a better life in Canada with their young sons. They did not have much, however, they built a great, loving and happy home. Siranoush will be missed by all and remembered as a loving, caring woman who had a sharp mind and memory. Her legacy will be carried on by her loved ones who will miss her dearly. May she rest in peace.
