She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her sister Marj Feheley wife of the late Allan Feheley, sister-in-law Bernie Kaminski wife of the late Adam Kaminski, and brother-in-law Paul Weller (Emily).
Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews who celebrated family events at Shirley’s home. Including the fun times in the pool.
Shirley grew up in Toronto and was the loving daughter of the late Milton and Irene Taylor. She was also predeceased by her eldest daughter Linda Gagnon, her grand-daughter Jera Lyn Gagnon, and her brother Jack (Dolly) Taylor.
The Community of the Sisters of the Church will hold Shirley in prayer; with whom she was a companion from the age of 17. Dearest friend to the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood, as she was an auxiliary volunteer for close to 40 years with the sisters, staff and residents at St. Bernard’s Convalescence Hospital.
Shirley faithfully attended the Church of the Apostles, where she served as their ACW President, and was on the board for the Diocese of Toronto. She kept in touch through annual meetings and a lunch group fondly known as the “Dragons”. She looked forward to the annual AWARE Retreat. Sharing many of those times and memories with her daughters over 25 years. The World Day of Prayer was a special event she gladly attended as often as she was able. When the Church of the Apostles closed, she was warmly welcomed at the Church of the Incarnation.
We will be holding a Memorial Service at a date to be announced. In lieu of Flowers please consider the follow charities that were very dear to our Mom.
