Rupert B. Harvey

April 2, 1924 - April 14, 2012

Born in Westmoreland, Jamaica to Hannah and Duncan Harvey and passed away peacefully at Valleyview Residence at the age of 88. Rupert leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years,Victorine (Cutie), his sons Carl, Rupert Jr. and the late Richard. Proud grandfather of Gerima, Sean, Chela, Saba, Meshach, Jamal, Jacob, Chaya, C.J. and Lily. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and many friends. Rupert was a retired employee from the Ontario Minisrty of Health - Public Health Lab where he worked for over 23 years. Friends may call on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Willowdale Seventh Day Adventist Church (535 Finch Avenue West). Interment to follow at York Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Foundation or the Valleyview Residence (Advent Health Care Foundation).
