His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. He and Shirley enjoyed many years of retirement in Florida. He made many lifelong friends. He was an avid golfer and tennis and pickleball player. He was born in Toronto, Ontario on November 13, 1928, to the late Stanley and Coral Ferguson. Roy was predeceased by his brothers and sisters. Roy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Shirley of 72 years, and his children, Bruce (Debbie) Ferguson, Doug (Debbie) Ferguson, Wendy (Mick) Stoner, Murray (Denise) Ferguson, Rick (Helen) Ferguson and grandchildren, Tracy, Terry, Michelle, Jen, Kiyomi, Miyeko, Evan, Owen, Ella and Lois and great grandchildren, Abby, Jenna, Nathan, Nia and Reid, and all his many nieces and nephews.
