Roderick Stewart Cameron

After a brief illness, Rod passed peacefully with his family by his side on the morning of July 25, 2022. He is survived by Jacki, his wife of 49 years, their children Amy (Roland), Emma (Thomas), Kyle (Krystal) and Fraser (Mira), grandchildren Hannah, Oliver, Henry, Arthur and Franklin, his brother Wayne (Sharon) and his sister Donna (Brian). Rod was predeceased by his parents, Stewart and Evelyn, and son, Elliott.

Rod will be remembered by many for his kindness, affability and sense of humour as well as his dedication to his family and loved ones.

Rod worked at Air Canada for 29 years, after which he enjoyed a successful second career as a massage therapist. His love of learning led him to travel extensively with Jacki and to read voraciously. He often found pleasure in listening to 1950s music, enjoying a nice scotch, watching a ballgame and spending time with family and friends.

The family would like to express its sincere gratitude to the staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their compassionate care.

A celebration of Rod’s life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, located at 8088 Yonge St. Thornhill, ON.
