She grew up in Fort William, Ontario, attending St. Mary's and Vocational Schools before her employment at the Fort William Flying Club and later Canada Customs.
Following her move to Toronto, Ontario she worked for Citizenship and Immigration until her retirement.
Maureen was predeceased by her parents James and Bridget (Coghlan) Mulligan and brothers Bobby (in infancy) and Terry in 1993. She is survived by her brother Jim (Helen) of Portage la Prairie, MB, nieces Mickey, Diane, Ruth, and Barbara; nephews Dan, Joe, Bob, Roy, and their families. Many cousins also survive.
Maureen always enjoyed a good joke and sent many such clippings tucked in with her correspondence to family. She took wonderful trips over the years and enjoyed golf and bowling and especially her games of Bridge with friends.
Friends may call on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 6 -8 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor R. C. Church (75 Churchill Avenue)..
