(East York Firefighter, 33 years, retired) Peacefully on Saturday January 31, 2009 at the age of 70, after a long battle with work-related lung disease. Michael leaves behind his beloved wife Yvonne, step-daughter Julie Coome, daughters Lisa Gaudier, Andrea Archbold and Janice Carroll, and grandchildren Zachary Gaudier and Kelsey Coome. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 2-4:30 and 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Complete Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Cremation. A celebration of his life will follow at Legion Branch 527(948 Sheppard Avenue West, North York). As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Lung Association.
