Mary Rita Sheehy

Peacefully at home on Friday, January 22, 2010, beloved wife of the late Edward Joseph, beloved daughter of the late Nicholas and Anne Shea. She is predeceased by her son Louis Joseph (Eleanor). Her memory will continue to inspire her family, Monsignor Ambrose, Jo-Anne and Mary Doris (Frank), to live up to the ideals that she lived. She had a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren, Dan and Elena Sheehy (Wade) and Gerard Doris, Michael Doris and Ambrose Doris. She is predeceased by her brothers, James (Norma Jean), Kenneth (Catherine) and Joseph (Mary). Her kindness and thoughtfulness will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. In earlier years she had been a loyal member of the Catholic Women's League and the Theresians. Her deep devotion to her Catholic faith was an inspiration to all whome she met. Possessing a deep conviction that life is all about helping others, she knew the peace and joy of being a faithful wife and making whatever sacrifice necessary to raise her family in the love of God and others.

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Avenue) on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Lindsay, Ontario. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Food for Children.
