Mary Catherine Mullaly

It is with deep sorrow that the Mullaly family announces the gentle and quiet passing of our beloved Mother at her home surrounded by the love of her family on February 21, 2011. Catherine loved and was loved by her husband, the late Collins Mullaly, for 50 years and was fortunate enough to have found love again late in life with the late Dr. Murray Hunt. Loving mother of Brian (Shiela), Hugh (Diane), Bill (Cathy), Cathy, Maura (Bob), and John (Debbie). Wonderful Nana to Patrick, Andrew, Connor, Kate, Liam, Morgan, Kevin, Colin and Nicholas. Beloved sister of Maureen Buchan and the late Frank O'Regan. Born in Saint John New Brunswick, Catherine taught school in rural and city schools developing young people's potential. She continued this passion in many areas, particularly with young tennis enthusiasts. Catherine lived a long and healthy life with enthusiasm, love and a zest for living. She left this world with courage, grace and dignity. We are extremely grateful to Dr. C.K. Chung for his professional and compassionate care as well as Svetlana and Lalekah for their exceptional and loving care.

Friends may call on Friday February 25th, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday February 26th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Passionist Parish (670 Sheppard Avenue East, east of Bayview). Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
