Marilyn is the beloved daughter of the late Fred & Reta Stevens. She leaves her loving daughter Heather McGoran and son-in-law Peter, as well as three grandchildren to whom she was devoted and immensely proud, Lindsay, Kaitlin, and Matthew, who all travelled to amazing destinations with their 'Grandy'. Marilyn was the much loved sister and great friend to Fred Stevens and his wife Laura, and special aunt to Leah and her husband Erik.
Marilyn left her footsteps in the travel industry as one of the first female executives who paved the way for others with style, grace, and energy (Wardair, Adventure Tours, CP Holidays, and CN Hotels). She mentored many young men and women and impressed upon all, an enormous dedication to both her career and family as well as her vast network of friends.
Marilyn's reach was global and she collected many friends and great experiences. As her death drew near, she was honoured by so many who came from near and far to support and say goodbye, all wanting just a little more time with her.
We'll all remember Marilyn as a woman who loved to travel, loved to learn, loved to teach, and loved to laugh. And most of all……. loved her daughter Heather all the way to the moon.
