Passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Belmont House. Red is predeceased by his parents Joseph A. and Loreta, sister Marilyn Lessard and by the love of his life Katherine Segsworth. He is survived by his brother Jack (Lucy Abenina), brother-in-law Walter Segsworth (Nancy), nieces Megan, Andrea (Craig Gulliver) and Caroline, great nephew Thomas and great-niece Pearl. Red was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22nd from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd at 10 a.m. at St. Wilfrid's Roman Catholic Church, 1675 Finch Avenue West (west of Keele, south side). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
