My deepest condolences to Joe's family. I just recently found out about his passing. I met Joe in 1984 and we lost contact in 1995. We were very close friends within those years.We use to go to Fairview mall and go for long drives. Joe has always held a special spot in my heart. His smile, his laughter, his thoughtfulness, and compassion will always be remembered. Rest in peace my friend.

Joe touched so many people and made their lives sweeter every day. Every conversation I had with Joe, almost every day I worked at the AGO, left me smiling and happier. He gave so much to the world in such a short time. Please accept me deepest sympathy for your loss. He will be so missed.

When I think of my time at the AGO, Joe often comes to mind. He always greeted me with a smile and took a minute to chat. He always had an amazing outlook - never do I remember him telling me that he was having a horrible day. (That truly was his amazing gift), and he was always there to lend a helping hand. Those that touch our lives .... stay in our hearts forever. And that is where Joe will continue to be.

My deepest condolences to the Galati family and to Rocky. May his light shine on forever. May you find peace in knowing he is no longer suffering. God bless you all during this difficult time.

Almost 25 years ago I was in a restaurant in downtown Toronto with my friends from New Orleans. We started talking to man sitting at the table next to us and during the conversation he asked me "Do you know who Elvis is?". Well, the answer was "of course I do". The man then pulled from his pocket a coin of Elvis and gave it to me. I know that this coin must have been very special, so the next time I saw Joe at a family function I told him the story and pulled the coin from my purse and told him that he would know be the proud keeper of the coin. I know that Joe had the biggest smile, but that night his smile seemed to be even bigger. Rest in Peace Joe and continue to enjoy Elvis everyday.

Our sincere condolences to the Galati family. I will always have great memories of Joe from childhood. He always knew how to make you laugh. Joe you will be missed, may you rest in peace.

Joe was a kind gentleman. I will miss his warm smile and good nature. He made living here all the better.

Joe and I became instant friends when he told me he was an Elvis fan. I made Joe a CD of rare cuts by the King. We never got the chance to visit Graceland but I know that a man as full of grace as Joe was made every day for the people he knew something special, as special as visiting the home of the King. Joe made his own kind of music. He is sorely missed and we need more people like Joe in this world.

I did not know Joe very well but I will always remember him stoping to say hi and giving you a big smile and a nod of the head.  He was a true gentleman.  My condolenses to his family and loved ones.
