Linda and I are heartbroken and very sad to hear John's passing away. Thank you John for the friendship you extended to us and for the love and care for Aida and her entire clan. You have been a pillar to all of them. We will pray for your peaceful rest and eventual union with our Lord Jesus Christ in heaven. We will pray that God gives Aida, Marz and his family, Gracie and her family and all your love ones, the strength to overcome the sorrow and grief of losing and missing you.

I want to take this opportunity to remember and thank Uncle John for his kindness and generosity that he had shown me especially when I was just new here in Canada.  I truly appreciated those times when he drove me to work and waited patiently to pick me up and also for taking me grocery shopping with him which I really enjoyed because I think he wanted me not to get bored just staying home on weekends. 

Because of him and Tita Aida’s help, I was able to have a better life and for that I am extremely grateful.

I will surely miss him for his love and support to all of us.

John L. Varga is a highly esteemed brother in law  who has showed his  unwavering support for our family  from the beginning until his passing. His love  for the  family is undeniable as attested  by the fact that  his name Uncle John , Kuya John always  solicits a warm smile from everyone . "We will miss you John L. Varga " is an understatement .

 But go as you have to. You have given the best of who you are to everyone.  

You will always  be an icon in our family. 

You have been a good and caring person John. It was nice knowing you. I pray to the Lord that he embrace you and take you to His kingdom. May You Rest In Peace.

Dearest Dad,
Thank you for everything especially your guidance, love, trust, protection and generous heart. Thank you for being the father that I've always wanted, someone who is caring, thoughtful, but most of all thank you for loving my Mom and putting her on a pedestal  everyday. It will not be same without you in her arms on all the family pictures.

Thank you for teaching me how to drive,  teaching me how to appreciate wine, lectures about life, work and parenthood. I hope I made you proud of what I've become.

Throughout my life, you're not very vocal or communicative of how you feel,  but we always felt your love whenever you are around.

I know that you were always there when I needed help without asking, like when my work was on job action strike that lasted more than 4 weeks. At the time, I had a mortgage, two kids on day care, a car loan, etc.  You've showed me that you were thinking of me and my family at all times. 

George and Zachary are very fortunate to have you as their 'Papa'. Thank you for always being there for them from birth, baptism, graduations and birthdays. 

Rest in peace, Dad, with love, Gracie, John, George, Zachary and Sam.

You're the only father I know and love and I will miss you sooooo much.

My deepest condolences to Tita Aida  Ate Gracie & Kuya Marz..it was a very sad day when we found out the news of his passing. I will always treasure the time I spent in Florida with my Aunt & Uncle even it was a short time it was memorable for me. Thank you so much for being so accommodating & welcoming at that time  because I needed it. You will be missed..

John was a very loving, devoted husband and father to our son and daughter.  He was very sensitive to my needs even before I realize it.  He was not vocal in his affection but he shows it with things like flowers, jewelries, things in the kitchen or in the house which he thinks I would need or would love to have.  I cannot ask for a better life partner than my JV.  He was very supported with things I want although he did not approve it at times.  He was a ¨cookie monster"and liked jazz music, soccer,  steak, apples, mangoes, egg rolls,  chow mein and pasta.  His favorite football  team was the Raiders and he was ever faithful to them even though they do not even make it to the playoffs.  He was always positive in life although he was very stubborn and hard-headed.  He believed in himself and at times critical of even the doctors advice. 
My JV means the world  to me and will always be.  I will be waiting for the time when we will be together again.  I LOVE YOU JV.
