Peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer, on April 4, 2004 in his 81st year. Born in Mullingar, Ireland. WWII RAF Burma Star. Longtime employee of Spar Aerospace as engineer on the Canadarm. Loving husband of 51 years of Margareta (nee Larsson). Cherished father of Michael, Kathleen, Thomas, Patricia and Monica. Brother of Agnes Hayes of Dublin and his late siblings: Margaret, Bernard, Patrick, Thomas, Eugene, Philomena, Gertrude, Nodlaig and Celine. Greatly missed by grandchildren Shannon, Patrick, Kevin, Emily, Lisa, Diane, Matthew, Jennifer, Anna, Katie, Alexander, Ryan and Adam. Many thanks to Dr. D. Kendal and Dr. B. O'Sullivan. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at 9:30 am at St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church (75 Churchill Avenue). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
