James(Jim) passed away peacefully on June 12, 2024. Beloved husband of Ave Marie (O’Reilly, pre-deceased) for 66 years. Loving father of Barry (pre-deceased), John (Rosemary), Teresa Hourigan (Tim pre-deceased), Mary Willhoeft (Steve), Chris (Heather Ferris). Cherished grandfather of Sarah Keleher, Alex Warren, Michael Warren, Ashleigh Warren Lee, Meaghan Hourigan, Katelyn Anandwala, Adam Willhoeft, Michael Willhoeft, Danielle Willhoeft, Tyler Willhoeft, Jonathan Ferris, Rosalie Ferris and great-grandfather of 12. Brother of Helen Taylor and John Warren (pre-deceased).
Fondly remembered by his family and friends. Jim will be remembered for his years of teaching, his love of the outdoors, and his stories.
In addition to his many accomplishments, Jim was a dedicated blood donor throughout his life and, in the end, generously became a tissue donor, continuing his legacy of helping others even after his passing.
Visitation will take place at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 39 Green Lane, Thornhill, Ontario, on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date at Victoria Cemetery in Drayton, Ontario. If wished donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Ministries.
