It may not be well known that Jack was a real fan of Western music
He often quoted lines from songs….maybe with a little poetic license
The quotes were funny and appropriate
I enjoyed his friendship and camaraderie on the golf course and with R&R group
Sadly he will be missed

Dear Joan and Family,

We first met Jack almost 50 years ago at the Bayview Club playing tennis. With time we moved from tennis to golf. It was always enjoyable to play golf or share a meal with Jack. He was great fun to be with and when you needed help, he was always there. We will miss his corny jokes and his bright smile.
We have lost a true gentleman and a real friend.

To Joan, Cindy and Tamara: Roly joins me in extending our sincere sympathy to all three of you as well as your extended families. We will remember Jack first and foremost for his sense of humor in your yearly Christmas letter. That was a classic. Not many people have that special gift. With wit goes wisdom.
We felt always close to the whole McMillan family because of the Croft connection here in K-W as well as meeting Jack's mother a few times over the earlier years.
The Croft family welcomed me so warmly when I first came to the city and joined Trinity United Church. Those acts of kindness one never forgets. What great memories we both have to look back but we hope to still continue the tradition of exchanges with you in the future.
Our plan is to forward a small donation to North York G.H. Foundation in Jack's memory.

Dear Joan and Family,
I was very, very sad to hear about Jack.  He and I played golf two or three times a week over the past 10 years.  It was always a lot of fun playing with Jack, we always had a good time.
He was a wonderful man with a great personality and a good sense of humor.

Dear Joan,

For many years, Jack was a regular exerciser in the Fitness Centre at Bayview Golf & Country Club. 
He always brightened our days with a smile, a joke and a laugh. 
On bad weather days, I could always count on Jack to tell me "It's a great day to buy a car!!"
My sincere condolences to Joan and the rest of Jack's family. 
He will be greatly missed.

Our sincere condolences to Joan and family. The passing of Jack is the loss of a very dear friend. He and I regularly had lunch together at Bayview and shared stories of our respective pasts. My joy at hearing lines from his favorite country music songs and plans for that days "tea" which he joyfully shared with Joan were most entertaining. I will miss his company and we are most distressed at his sudden passing. He was a fine gentleman.

I’ve known Jack for a number of years and always found him to be a fine and outstanding gentleman.  My deepest condolence to Joan and the rest of his family.  May his memory be a blessing.
