I am thinking of you, Marina and your mom today and remembering your dad with great fondness. Thank you for including his life story in the obituary. 

Dad Boehm, I can remember all the times you and Mom Boehm came to see Sue and what fun we had. I still have the book you gave me about Newfoundland and will treasure it always. You made our lives happier and will be missed. but your spirit will live on every time we hear "O Canada" at the hockey games and in our hearts.

My deepest condolences are extended to Chris' family.  I've worked in the office of the Kiwanis Music Festival for many years and had the privilege of knowing Chris through his volunteering at the music festival.  During the festival Chris always made himself available when needed, his volunteer work during the music festival was and still is very much  appreciated.  Chris was indeed a true gentlemen and will be sadly missed.

Harris & I are so sad to hear of Chris's passing after such a hard fought battle.
Chris was a great friend and neighbour and was an inspiration to us in the way he lived his life and treated others.
He had a great zest for life and met all challenges with a calm strength.

He will be missed terribly.

"No finer man walked the face of this earth ". This describes Chris in our hearts.

Hans had a profound influence on his son-in-law, our cousin Raimo, and we remember the many kind and caring things Raimo said about Hans. They truly had a special bond.

Dear Sue, Marina, & Mrs. Boehm:
My deep and sincere condolences are being sent your way on the occasion of Chis' death. I have been aware of his failing health for some time, but the news of his death still came as a shock. I am so very sorry for your loss. Because of both Sue's friendship with my daughter, Jill, and also through our common Kiwanis experiences, I came to know Chris quite well; and grew to respect him very much. His quiet confidence, his strong support for Kiwanis and the Music Festival, and his tremendously courteous manner were always in evidence. Thank you for the detailed obituary, because through it I learned many details of Chris' life of which I was not aware; and now I am even more thankful that I knew this man who was not only husband, father, and grandfather; but also a great community leader and an inspiration to many - including me. May God grant you all the strength needed to see you through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To Aunt Elfi, Marina, Sue:  He will be greatly missed, and I am heartbroken over his passing.  I would like to think that he and my Dad are somewhere by the side of a pond in Newfoundland wetting a line and trying to catch a trout!  Oh, the chats they will have!
